ALTHEA GALENE SCALA ( 25 )

- the result of briareos having a grief trip around various greek islands in a last ditch effort to finally get over his mermaid love/baby mama (spoilers: it doesn't really work out that way)

- summer love with the town witch results in a lil baby that he's...never told about. tbf he didn't leave a calling card but also tbf thea's mum didn't need a card to figure out how to contact him. she just didn't want to. rude witch bitch!

- brought up in a very magic positive environment, town thought her family was a little odd but still surprisingly accepting, mostly bc her mother's talents were very useful to the people in the town (v divination happy). she wasn't thrilled when thea started showing signs of being far more humane inclined but ultimately she'd rather have a magic daughter than none at all! mom basically makes her do drills in card reading and scrying though, gotta continue the family business.

- circa 14-16 she finds about her dad and in that her brother!! thea reaches out to konstantin and the two have a largely email based friendship for a couple of years until they can get together the cash and time off school to hang out! after that she basically makes a point to spend every holiday she can in Madrid and has every intention of moving there after graduation.

- mom gets sick and throws something of a spanner in the works, she ends up fine but thea spends two years post-graduation taking care of her/working at her business to keep the two afloat.

- by this point the world is already starting to get kinda grim and the nice madrid life w kon is looking Incredibly Unlikely.
